My Gal Sal — Sheet Music – Public Domain

By Evan / August 4, 2019

About This Score:

Before My Gal Sal earned the distinction of being the first song recorded in a motion picture (The Jazz Singer, 1927), it was a popular "Tin Pan Alley" waltz. Bands in New Orleans often performed it in 4/4 time. This leadsheet has it in both time signatures and is in the sheet music key of Bb, though New Orleans Revival Bands often performed it in the key of F.
