30.JUL.2019 Creole Blues for Sidney Bechet at the Duc des Lombards

 July 31, 2019

By  Evan

About This Past Event:

Last July, Evan Christopher's sold out evenings at the Duc des Lombards, the best listening room in Paris, commemorated the centenary of Sidney Bechet's 1919 debut in Europe. In the nascent days of jazz, Bechet opened the music world's eyes to the music's possibilities. Featured artists included pianist Philippe Milanta, bassist Sébastien Girardot and drummer Julie Saury.

It has been a long year, I have learned from my mistakes and I promise to try to be on my best behavior. I thank the musicians in advance for giving me another chance. ... See MoreSee Less
