About This Music:
For the third and final CD featuring my Europe-based quartet Django à la Créole that performed between 2007-2015, we had the last four concerts of our 2012 season professionally recorded. The best tracks were arranged into a concert-length experience.
Our friends at Frèmeaux and Associates in Paris enthusiastically helped us finish the production, complete with an extensive booklet in French and English. They also produced the previous two CDs of the group, Finesse and our eponymous recorded debut.
LIVE! is arguably the most "New Orleans" of our efforts, but it still reflects our original concept of a "Creolized" approach to Django Reinhardt's music and brand of swing.
